The Los Angeles School Police Department deploys patrol
officers into all 6 geographic Divisions. Patrol
officers are responsible for providing police services for over 1,100
schools, centers and offices not already assigned a foot beat officer or School Safety Officer.
Most patrol officers are deployed directly into the Day School Program
and work with school staff to keep Los Angeles schools safe. Additionally,
officers respond to calls for service at secondary campuses. Last year
the LASPD responded to over 60,000 calls for service - more than most municipal agencies.
