Rule Title: COMPENSATION OF BOARD MEMBERS.

Rule Text: Each Member of the Board of Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District shall receive as compensation the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000) per month if the Member attends all meetings in that month. A Member will be paid for any meeting when absent if the Board by resolution duly adopted and included in its minutes finds that at the time of the meeting the Member is performing services outside the meeting for the Los Angeles Unified School District. A Member will also be paid where the Member is found absent by resolution duly adopted and included in its minutes by the Board due to illness, performance of jury duty, or from hardship deemed acceptable to the Board. Any Member who does not attend all meetings held in any month and is not found excused by the Board shall receive as compensation an amount equal to two thousand dollars ($2,000) divided by the number of meetings held and multiplied by the number of meetings actually attended.
