Rule Title: ELECTORAL DISTRICT BOARD COMMITTEES.

Rule Text: The following matters are defined to be within the province of the Electoral District Board Committees. In General: Strengthening and facilitating communication among parents, community persons, employees, and the Board of Education. Specific Matters: 1. To initiate or pursue any inquiry or study which has as its purpose the presentation of communications, reports or recommendations to the Board, or to other Standing Committees, as may be appropriate. 2. To receive and process inquiries, issues, concerns and reports from school-community advisory councils, PTA/PTSA’s, other school support groups, students, and from other organizations or persons in the community regarding matters within the jurisdiction of the Board. 3. To strengthen, facilitate and encourage communications with the Board and further facilitate the decentralization process. Other Matters: Other matters which may be assigned by the Board. Rule Number: 159

Rule Title: BOARD COMMITTEES.

Rule Text: At least two members of a Committee shall be present at a Committee meeting for deliberation on a matter to be submitted to the Board of Education. In the event such Committee consideration cannot be obtained and staff deems it necessary to proceed, staff shall indicate at the Board meeting at which the Board report is received that the matter did not receive Committee consideration.
